My grandkitten Neko died earlier this evening. Neko was a beautiful silver tabby/siamese mix. She was also a few days pre-mature. In feline pregnancies, a day is equal to a week. But her heart and lungs were working fantastically and she was making great strides in over-coming her lack of strength and energy, and her mother was even ignoring her own pain from the emergency c-section and nursing her. It's unclear as to the exact cause of death because Cat's entire family had been gone for an hour and a half. She passed with her little paw out-reached.

When I heard the news, the skies were darky and cloudy.. The world was silent..

When we buried her, the stars were shining.. Nature's serenade had begun again..

I hope you rest in peace even though you were alone, Neko. The stars are yours tonight.
